Red lionfish

(Pterois volitans) Widely distributed among the three big oceans. It can be found in the Red sea.  It thrives at depth ranges around 2-55 meters. Their maximum size is 55 cm. It can live up to 15 years. The lionfish I colored in red and white stripes, sometimes the stripes can be yellow or brown. It feeds on fish, shrimp and clams. It has 16 venomous spines on its body. The venom is a neurotoxin, which paralysis the muscles, and in its finals stage the respiratory systems fails to function. The venom is not lethal to humans.
