Blacktip reef shark
The blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) can be found in parts of the Indian and Pacific ocean, throughout the Red sea and the eastern Mediterranean near the Suez canal. Its depth ranges up to 75 meters. Common size is between 90-120 cm. and max size is 200cm. Its dorsal side is colored in gray and the bottom is white. The fins have black tips. It lives up to 12 years. It feeds on littel fish, clams and shrimps. It can be aggressive to humans.
