Amphibians
In the "Amphibians and Reptiles" Hall there are two showcases located along the walls of the room. The vast majority of amphibians are presented in the form of wet preparations. The rest of the exhibits are arranged in an artificial environment that resembles their natural habitats. In this hall visitors can get acquainted with many representatives of the Bulgarian herpetofauna and with some interesting tropical species.
The red whip snake is a type of snake found in the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as in Bulgaria.
The green anaconda, (Eunectes murinus), also called giant or Аmazonian anaconda, is considered one of the largest snakes in the world.
The loggerhead sea turtle, Caretta caretta, is a species, representing the family of sea turtles (Cheloniidae), reaching a length of up to 100 cm.
The black mamba, Dendroaspis Polylepis, is a snake of the Elapidae family, the genus Dendroaspis. Five species belong to this genus.
The beluga or European sturgeon, Huso huso, is the largest fish found in the Danube - there are reports of specimens exceeding 1500 kg of weight and 6m in length.
